Old man who is an American citizen travels to Bangkok to have sex with 14 year old girl = Illegal.
14 year old girl goes to Bangkok and has sex with old man = Lucky old man.
Am I the only one here that sees the fact that the only crime that could have possibly been commited was done by the party who's laws don't coincide the laws of the U.S. Citizen?
As long as the girl wasn't 10 - 13 then I think he's pretty safe. Everyone is quoting American law but the alleged possible offender has nothing more to do with the U.S. than posting on GFY. They are not going to extradite him and put him on some huge trial for having sex with a girl when it was legal in his country!!!
