personally, I think blogging is a fad that's already at it's peak...
it's fun.. but a lot of people are in it for the wrong reasons, and they'll eventually determine that it's a lot of work, with little reward

If it is a "fad" CNN, Microsoft, Yahoo, and many large mainstream companies have paid a ton for some code that will be useless... Personally I see both sides, yes it could be a fad and go away into the night... OR I can also see it replacing message boards and a few other things that can take advantage of the RSS feeds and XML capabilities.. Just my cent and a half..
