I'm shocked they're even sending him to prison over this. I mean come on, here in Canada, people who kill someone get a year of probation, they don't goto prison! Hell, street racers killing pedestrians get a slap on the wrist. What about the pedophile who was released, molested some kids and then went back, and then got released again, then molested some more kids?
What about the group of 20 15-16 year olds who swarm and beat someone so badly, the person has irreversible brain damage... They don't get in trouble, they're released to their parents!
I love Canada and I love living here, but our justice system is so fucked.. it's fucking pathetic. Murderers are being released and killing again, rapists are being released and raping again. One case here in Vancouver, a guy was in court facing over 50 car theft charges. The judge gave him a conditional sentance. When asked why he did that, the judge said, "what do you want me to do? put him in prison?".
