Sorry, but you are wrong.
For every pound of muscle a man gains, he burns off 50 to 90 more calories an hour.
I think it's more habit than anything else that you eat once a day. I have trained myself to eat at least 5, with shakes and protein bars taking up the slack where a full meal won't do.
Smaller meals broken up across the day actually help you lose weight, you are always feeding the machine which in turn burns calories.
