Agreed!
It seems to me a large part of the problem is that even many of the BIG players, the most talented people in the business, are acting like we're going to get shut-down any day now, and they may as well make whatever money they can while they can, in
ANY way they can.
Nobody's really looking at tomorrow with any optimism, so:
1. We're still NOT respecting the customer,
2. We're NOT taking any STRATEGIC steps to protect ourselves from the legal dangers -- (as I discuss in the article), and...
3. We're still NOT really working TOGETHER as players -- a standardized platform for sharing customer data BETWEEN programs is just one idea, but there are many ways for us to cooperate better.
We have to make a decision, people:
Are we gonna do down in history like Moonshiners, who made a quick buck playing demand against legality, then disappeared?
Or, are we going to impress the entire business world with our intelligence, our understanding of the medium, our capacity to innovate and invent and our indefatigable spirit?
I know which way
