Your reasoning is sound. This story is so overblown it's ridiculous. It just begs for things like a pool.
I'll say it: I hope she dies very quickly. Her family can then get past this and the rest of the world that's been immersed in this drama can get back to their lives. No matter wasting court, police, and air time on this - and most of all GFY threads.
