I think you should always dress for the occasion. If you're going to an unfamiliar bank to get a loan, wear a suit. If you're going to a club, wear something that's kinda club-dressy.
In everyday wear, I think guys who wear Addidas are kind of sexy if they know what to wear it with. One guy can look like a slob in Addidas while the next guy looks pimp.
