bd, is she's heavily drugged up? Just wouldn't want her to be feeling the starvation. If she is drugged up, I suppose that's fine.
My understanding is that their is a lot of heresay and false accusations being made about the husband. She has been on life support for some 15 years and he did try all that he could to bring her back. If this is true, I think the most noble thing to do is to allow her to die in peace. Any reasonable person would NOT want to be alive in her state. Being alive and living are two different things. Living is enjoying life and you can't do that while you're alive without control of your body.
I also think it's reasonable to say that if a person hasn't returned to their normal functioning after 15 hard years of trying, it's not going to happen, and to stop further suffering, letting the person die in peace is the best choice.
