I've had a living will and DNR in place since I turned 21. My mother is an OT and works with developmentally disabled as well as the Regional (oversees 12 counties) Coordinator of Dysphagia (swallowing disorders) and we've had this arguement for at least 15 years. She said "no matter what happens, tube me, hook me up, I want it all, prolong every single second of my life." My sister said "thats selfish and cruel to do to the family, why should we have to come visit you in a hospital or feed you, bath you, for years and years, if you don't even know we are there!" lol My moms like, "dont come visit then, just hook me up, put BET on the tv and leave me in front of it!" lol

I told my mom, if there is no quality of life left in me... IE: cant use the computer, cant talk, and can't have sex... then let me die! I do not want to be trapped in a hell that once was my body. The minute I turned 21, I put my wishes in writing, signed, dated, and its in my Primary Care Physicians care. I knew my mother would hook me up to anything possible to keep me going, if it were up to her.

I do not want any drastic measures, if I'm in a car accident and my limbs are all over the place, i DO NOT want my toes turned into fingers, I don't want to live in a bed staring at a ceiling hooked up to machines, and I don't want anyone taking parts out of me. I'm not donating anything! I dont mind receiving some blood from family if needed, but thats it, no heroic measures in any way shape or form.

Hell, I just waited YEARS to get my wisdom teeth out, because I'm so ANTI-SURGERY and didn't want them to put me under, I agreed to novacain and let them drill thru my face to take them out while I was AWAKE!!!

So here's my on-line copy as well. If I cant fuck, talk, eat orally, and look at porn online, let me die!!!
