Here's what you need to do..... it should work. Every morning take him into the shower with you and let him get all wet. It will take him several hours to preen himself and get all his feathers perfect again. By that time you'll be home from work. Also, buy 7 bird toys and switch them out every day. He's probably just bored.
That is such a cute story!!! I am going tonight getting the toys and I will swtich them out hope it helps!!!
