These messages indicate that the ICQ program installed on your computer could not connect to the ICQ network.

This may be caused by one or more of the following reasons:
1. You have lost your connection with your Internet Service Provider.
2. The connection between your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and our servers was lost.
3. Our servers were undergoing upgrades at the time.

ICQ 5 uses several servers. While connecting, the main server (login.icq.com, port 5190) is contacted and searches for the first available server.
In order to make sure your server settings are correct, click the Setup button in the login window.
Make sure the address under the ICQ Server is: login.icq.com, port 5190.

In case you are still experiencing problems connecting to ICQ please try changing the address of the server to: login.icq.com, port 443.
