He is correct. Its a very sad story and no one wants to see this lady suffer. However, its also very scary that our government thinks they can walk in, pass new law just to satisfy the religous right. Government interevention in our personal lifes is NOT a good thing people and this was exactly what that was. As of right now, 21 judges of out 22 have shown that Terri was given her due process and EVERY avenue was gone over to make sure her right were protected. While we may not like that this poor women has to die, the fact remains that the law was upheld and our system, weather you think its right or wrong, still works.
Congress and the Religous Right needed to be bitch slapped for what they did and our Constitution did it yet again today. Its sad this ladies life was the test of it, but it would not have been if Ton Delay and those wacko religious right people didnt reinvent the system for their own political gain.
