Whether or not you like the President or his decision to goto war, There are many brave men and women who stepped up and joined the military when many like yourself didn't....Nobody wants war, and nobody likes war, but when you join to Serve your country and then you get sent overseas even though now it's nor for your country but its for another country you still do what you are told and you stand ready to answer that call.... I don't agree with the war but I do what I gotta do.
I don't even think you can even begin to comment on things over there until you've been there and seen it all first hand. You shouldn't make your opinions based on what you see on TV or in the media, because BELIEVE ME from being there first hand, half of the BS you seen on TV is heavily blown up to look all dramatic or incorrect. Until you have a bunch of innocent iraqi's coming up to you, thanking you and offering you into their homes not wanting you to leave them because of fear that insurgents who might harm them, then I don't think you'll ever get the whole picture. Iraqi children especially girls are now allowed to attend school in majority of the areas, children are receiving vacinations and shots to keep them healthy, freedom to have satellite and internet... things you guys don't think twice about until you don't have them.
For all those who bitch and complain about this country or simple things, try going to IRAQ for a year like all these soldiers and giving up EVERYTHING for a year. As small as sleeping on a comfortable bed or in a tent for a year. How about little things as wearing comfortable clothes...
I mean i was soo appreciative of the little things in life as to getting a decent meal for once when I got home, or even having your own bathroom and shower... or how about porcelain toliets.
But to those few that have supported the soldiers and not the war, Thank you. And those of you that have family members out there, just keep praying thats all we can do.
All this thread is gonna do is cause flames, i was very tempted just to ignore it, but you can only ignore it so much.

Couldnt agree more.
See it from their side, its quite easy to sit behind a Computer in a safe environment and bash Soldiers that do their job, living on the edge almost every day, than vise-versa...
99% of those talking big words never been in a war first-hand, so how could they judge. Only based on the 10% the media 'feeds' them.
