Nice looking bird, pretty plumage means he was getting a good diet before he got away or was turned out (grrr.)

The screaming may fade with time, but it sounds like he has specific triggers -- and unfortunately some screaming is normal flock behavior for many birds. Sometimes it may actually help to call back to him (softly and calmly) when he screams -- if it's flock behavior, he may be reassured when the call is answered by his flock (you), and calm down.

The African Grey I lived with for several years did not scream at all. He whistled for attention, or rang like the telephone. If they are well treated, Greys are *very* calm birds. Cockatiels, generally not so much.
