He doesn't want anything to do with the outside of the cage. I even leave the door to the cage open for him. I am trying to finger train him now. Every morning and in the evening I sit with my hand in the cage and don't move it for 15 minutes and talk to him. They say that is the best way to get him use to your hand and then you can slowly start to pick him up. I have tried everything, talking to him, paying a lot of attention to him, because they said he could be bored, but nothing helps!!!
One day he was so good and didn't scream at all, just made his cute little chirps and noises with his little dances, and I thought wow my training is working!!! Then right when it started raining, and it has been raining none stop, he started screaming again even worse than before. Does the weather effect them like it will my kitties sometimes???
I really want to make him a good bird and get him finger trained so it is easier to find him a good home!!!
