an example...with my insurance here in the US, i pay $99 a month...when I go to the doctor I am seen within 15 minutes without an appointment, I get meds prescribed and don't ever pay more than $25 for anything...and if I need surgery, I make an appointment that day for sometime the next week if it is not an emergency, and I go straight to the hospital and into a gown if it is important

Yes and many people can't afford $99 a month so they NEVER see a doctor. Actually what happens is they see one in the emergency room where their treatment is paid by the taxpayers anyways, but because of our fucked up system it cost 10X as much to treat the person.
Unfortunately some American fail to see that. yes we would all like to lvie ina land where NONE of outr atx $ goes to paying for someone's healthcare but that's going to happen so if this be the way I'd rather pay $1 now that $10 later. Call me silly.
Also anyone on meidcare or medicaid you do in fact WAIT for treatment and care is substandard at best. I remember having to take my sister and her kids to see a doctor and the local health clinic in Tampa and god damn I was in there for 6 fucking hours with a bunch of smelly white trash/migrant farm worker/ghetto type people and their bratty kids. Place smelled of Mr Clean and BO with some urine and vomit mixed in for goood measure. And most the doctors spoke worse english than Snoop Dogg. I would have rather used a toilet at a truck stop where 2 trucker bears just got done having anal sex than use the bathroom there. Canada could NOT possibly be worse than that.
