By the logic of some all helpless, retards, paralyzed etc should be killed, as well as be completely supportive of late term abortions. But be vehemtly against the death penalty on murderers and child molesters.

No no the "logic" isn't analogous at all. Her husband as well as several courts have ruled in favor of no extreme/artificial means of prolonging her life in a vegitative state as per her wishes based on at least the testimony of a few people. No one is suggesting euthanizing her because she has no brain function(I don't think so anyway). Saying that, the later part of your post doesn't apply, but I'll answer it anyway.
I'm generally against the death penalty unless the crime is of an incredibly horrific nature(obviously open to interperitation) and backed up by DNA evidence. Also if a man on death row wanted his sentence sped up I wouldn't be opposed to that. I'm also in favor of a person's right to choose death. If someone has lived their life and now only suffers in pain it should be their right to end it in a manner and time of their choosing surrounded by loved ones and whatnot.
That brings me back to Schaivo. According to the courts, friends, and her husband who is really the only one who matters... In the event that she couldn't make the choice and was to live presumably suffering he was the one to pull the plug so to speak.
