I can't honestly ever remember one of my friends ever having a situation where one of them has had a gun pulled on them or has even seen a gun in public (other than in an officer's holster).
I also wonder what you guys that have had gun incidents have done to warrant these attacks by other people. I am not pointing fingers here guys but common if someone is blocking in your car and waiving bats at you they can't be doing this out of pure spontanaety. You must have done something to prevoke this? I am not calling you out and asking you to tell us all about your dirty laundry but you are the ones who posted this info in the 1st place.
You guys that have pulled guns talk about it so seriously and then you brag and joke about the size of these monster weapons? You talk about how you would never want to shoot someone but yet you brag about the size of the caliber of the weapon and how big of a hole you can put in someone with it. It is really quite crazy!
Anyways I think we all need to understand is that even though we are neighbours (Canada and US) our cultures and beliefs are still very different. I have been raised in a society where guns are not available and certainly not the norm. As where an US guy has been brought up seeing weapons all his/her life and is quite used to carrying/using weapons.
Very interesting topic this one.

In my case, I was driving down the road with my dog in the passenger seat. We were on the way out to the lake. There were 2 guys in a car that were driving WAY too fast. It was a 45 MPH zone and they were doing at least 60. I watched them almost rear end a car behind me. We unfortunately ended up at a stop light next to each other and they tried to get me to race (I had a Z-28 at the time). Not wanting to risk a ticket, I simply shook my head and rolled up the window. They took that to mean I was being a prick and deserved an ass kicking. They motioned for me to roll down my window and when I did, the passenger asked me "what's your problem, faggot". My only reply was "fuck you" and I rolled my window back up. They moved on ahead of me. I figured that was the end of it. No big deal. It's a college town. Some of those 19 year old kids act like that.
I made a right into a gas station for my daily Dr. Pepper fix and to grab the dog and I some beef jerky to split. When I pulled in, I sat in the car for about a minute getting my money straightened out. I have a nasty habit of wadding it up in my pocket. Anyway, the assholes pulled in the drive just as I was getting out and stopped their car directly behind mine. There was no exchange of words except for one of them saying "we got you bitch". I saw a bat and a tire iron and got my gun out of the center console. I stepped out, and ordered them to drop their toys and lie down. They said they just wanted to talk. Once the police got there, the guys were arrested for DUI, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. One of the guys had been arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer in the past. I am convinced having a gun saved my life or at least kept my head in a nice, regular shape.
I did not provoke the incident in any way.
