Just a thought, could it BE that because you are all so busy buying guns to "defend yourselves" that potential predators are also busy buying guns as well? Last I heard, your gun control laws are whacked and vary from state to state. My friend just bought a machine gun in Nevada, no cooling off period, no back ground check, they didn't even ask for ID and this was at a GUN SHOW.
I have nothing against it, shit i went to the shooting range twice in Vegas, took pictures and everything! Walked in, signed a waiver, bought my rounds, went back to the range with a machine gun and after a 90 second intro you too can be the happy shooter of a machine gun! I had a good time, was a bit freaked by the dad with his 2 kids under 10 shooting in there as well.
I'm VERY happy visiting the US, and I'm VERY happy living in Canada. All you Canada bashers can just go fuck yourselves! HAHAHA
