its easy to get a merchant account, I got mine through netbilling long ago, very simple.
Now unless you like to rip people off, keep people from canceling their memberships and crap like that, stay away from merchant accounts - all you will do is get your butt thrown in jail.
But if your honest, run an honest business and you are in this for the long haul then merchant account is the way to go - even with the initial costs of getting it set up, you save money in the long run.
