Why was the mother in law even TOUCHING your money? OK, she's on the account - my son's on my accounts too in case something happens to me he has access to my $$$ w/o having to deal with legal BS, but from what you've said, that money WAS NOT HERS! For all intents and purposes, your MIL stole that money from you. Time for her to start greeting folks at Walmart until she gets you paid back.
