You guys think that's bad?
Search on the Net for what the US Military has been doing to animals of all kinds for the past 100 years.
They use dogs and cats and other animals for battle wound practice. They suspend the animals upside down by a rope then have soldiers shoot them in all differenet parts of their bodies. Not to kill them, just to place bullits where the animal won't die. Then they bring them back to the medic trainees to practice fixing wounds. This is so the medics can learn to fix real battlefield simulated wounds. Once the wound surgery is complete they kill the animals.
Even more horrid is the fate of any animal that ends up at Ft. Detrick Maryland.
That's where the military tests all the really nasty stuff like nerve gas, chemical weapons, radiation effects, biowarfare, etc.
Its so terrific what they do to the lab animals I can't even write it without getting so flipped pissed off. Fucked up stuff like pouring gasoline on animals and lighting them on fire to test burn effects and medical treatment. Dropping live animals into vats of boiling water for 10 seconds at a time to test scalding wounds. They compress animals down in there cages with metal bars so that they can't move at all and then will release thousands of mosqitoes in the cage to have a blood feast on them to test how bioweapons could be distrubited by bugs. They gas them with posionous gas but not enough to kill them just enough to see how long they can survive with partial exposure to toxins. Its horrible, horrible, horrible, and nothing can stop them. They are above the law.
The governemnt uses about 2 Million animals per year for experiments related to warfare. The lucky ones get killed eventually. The unfortunate ones are kept alive as long as possible in excrutiating pain and suffering and left in lonely metal cages too boot with zero social interaction. It truly is a living hell .
