Well, actually, it's the combo of the text and the graphics - not just from a loading perspective but just from a "wow all this stuff to read" view.

Though I gotta say, blogs have changed the way people read on the web. Used to be you couldn't get anyone to read more than a paragraph per page but that seems to be changeing...so that's my 'for what it's worth'.
