It's not "SEO" when you have a full page of results linking to the same guy's website. That's search engine spam.
I hope this course isn't about writing programs to autosubmit your link to web blogs and vulnerable websites that allow URL posting. That would be considered short term SEO spam, not long term legitimate SEO. Long term productive SEO is all about looking professional to your customers AND being popular. You have to draw the line between quantity and quality. People can report your website as spamming the engines you know.. any visitor can, any competitor can.
Do you realize that if you have a full page of search results that all point to the same guy's site, that people get annoyed and your profits actually go down? 1-2 sites in a result is enough.
When I charge for SEO consulting, I base it on the size of the company. Not every webmaster needs to fork out $1K . You do a profile of the customer first. Everyone has different needs - from small 1 man business start ups willing to pay you 200 for some advice to fortune 500 companies who will hire you for a 1 year+ on-going contract based on your performance results.
It's not possible to learn SEO in 2 hours on a chat program. Maybe a couple tips, but those tips you could find publically available on webmasterboards.com
Regards,
Your fellow SEO, in it for the long run.
