For a very simple and convenient RSS reader, log into my.yahoo.com (assuming you have a Yahoo account). At the bottom of the page is an "Add Content" button where you can easily add any RSS feed you're interested in, and the headlines will be displayed right on your Yahoo page when you log in. Oh, and Yahoo will also spider your feeds quickly if you do this.

I've made a seperate Yahoo account that is just used for RSS. I log in, and there's today's news.
