I think Ford put out a dud.. You can barely tell the base model from the GT version. The GT goes for $29,000 - you can get a much nicer looking car for the money. The resale value on the Mustang is usually horrible.

There is a 4 inch gap from the wheel well to the tire. The stock wheels look horrible. The interior is nice, and I will give Ford credit for keeping it real unlike Pontiac and the GTO. But if you gave me a choice between a GTO and Mustang GT the GTO takes it hands down.

GTO is quicker, more hp, nicer interior and will have a better resale value. Now the only proablem with the GTO is it somewhat resembles a Cavalier on steroids.
