why the floppola?
People that like "The Passion" went out and bought it on DVD; in fact, they made it one of the best selling DVD's of all time, behind only "The Lord of the Rings" movies, Shrek 2, Finding Nemo, and Spiderman.
Due to this, I think you can't put something in the theater again that people already own on DVD unless you add to it somehow, not by subtracting scenes. Or do something to it to make it 'interesting all over again,' much like Lucas did to the first 3 Star Wars movies when digital effects were taking hold, and he added effects to the first 3 flicks.
I think a movie, an all time classic like "Jaws", would make a killing at the box office if it simply digitized the shark, kept everything else, and even added deleted scenes that ended up on the editing floor.
Its gotta be different, and all Mel did was chop and slash his picture, no pun intended ;)
