Actually, the Burj al Arab has 0 stars. It was never rated by any official rating authority. The 7 stars were given to it by the Dubai Travel Ministery.
Was anyone of you ever in the hotel? I personally did not like it. Way too much gold all around really. The service was good, but not awesome. The prices are just silly. There are plenty of other hotels in the world that are just as nice, just have fewer gold in them and not 6 colored friggin carpets that look like you are in some kids playroom.
The afternoon tee kicks ass though
