have had this argument several times myself, I feel your pain...

I recently told her, AGAIN, my work schedule is Mon-Thurs 9-5pm, Fri 9-12...

as soon as I get further on a few projects I'm going to do the outside office thing...last time I brought it up (few years back) she begged me not to cuz she'd never see me, bla bla bla, personally I think it's unhealthy to see eachother TOO much, sounds like you're suffering from that...

the only saving grace for my situation is that recently she went back to work 4 days a week, prior to that when she was doing the stay at home Mommy thing life was MUCH more hellish on the work schedule...

good luck to you, set some boundaries, explain to her that 'sales and customer support in or OUT of the house requires chatting'....psychologists CHAT, mechanics CHAT, doctors CHAT, insurance salesmen CHAT, real estate agents CHAT...if she wants you to get a NON-chat job, that's called being a MONK...

oi...anyways, good luck again, and work on setting the boundaries and/or getting an outside office
