it actually works pretty well...and a sneaky way to do it is this
when you get your checks in the mail, hold back on some so that it looks like your income has dropped quite a bit...do this for about 2 weeks, and explain to her nicely that you didn't have as much computer time to make the good money you do cause there was so much that she needed done....
then slowely work those checks you held back into the rotation again
