I think it's the general assumption everyone makes when you work at home. I actually stopped answering the door if I wasn't warned ahead of time that they were coming and I only answer the phone if I'm expecting a call - hidden numbers go straight to the voicemail
The bills don't get paid from chatting unless you're a webcam host.
