Ummm digital photo 101. It's not just the megapixels that counts it's the size of the cmos or ccd chip.

A 7 megapixel picture taken on a 1/4" chip is not the same as a 7 megapixel picture taken on a 1 inch chip.

It's kinda like grain in film cameras. You have to blow it up to far to make a decent photo.
