Yea, now the terrorists will realize that can get more money by kidnapping more people.
As it turns out, the info she had that she claims american's didn't want her to get out with is the fact that ransom was paid for her.
Could be why they didn't inform the complete chain of command about how she would be leaving the kidnappers.
Having known that, killing her wouldn't change anything. There is no motive unless they would have killed her while she was still kidnapped.
