You are correct about that. With all the confusion, it has probably escaped the attention of Iraqis that driving right into a roadblock, patrol, or even a single US military vehicle is going to result in getting the shit shot out of you. They probably didn't know that. So in the interest of informing you of the rules of engagement, I suggest you brandish a weapon at the nearest policeman and proceed right up to him while ignoring his commands to "halt". You'll probably learn a lot about the rules of engagement in your hometown
