That is fucked up. If a celeb tape is online (legal or not), that is news and fleshbot and other bloggers should have every right to talk about and link to the sites. Now, suing the people that host it is entirely different.
Interesting. While I'm sure this pisses off the Flesh crew, it sounds like it could turn out rather awesomely for them. They might have to spend $50k in legal fees and a fair amount of time, but they've got a very solid case, so I can't imagine they'd lose. Meanwhile, Limp Fred will drive a new level publicity and traffic their way.

If they weren't a news-like site, I think their defense would be harder...a lot of people think they *should* be able to link to other sites, since they're just links, but I think the RIAA has pushed through some laws that make such linking questionable. However, being a new-like site, and discussing the content on the copyright-violating sites rather than just providing links, provides some fair use and freedom-of-press defenses that other sites might not enjoy.
