Membership sites are nice because of the rebilling BUT sucks when you get 1,000's of rebills and the 3rd party biller goes under, or you lose your own merchant account, and say good bye to hundreds of thousands of future rebils. I also noticed that people were signing up 4x more to the free site then they were from my paysite, from the same exact traffic. So even if you charge $30 and you keep $25 after processing fees, and your average rebill is 3 months (which is high) you net $75 before other expenses from 1 signup. With the same traffic I am getting 4 free signups @ $40+ a peice. So thats a total of $160 i make opposed to $75 with the same traffic. And i get paid right away, you wait for 3 months to make that plus a lot longer for holdbacks. Now there is the time factor as well, free sites no more customer service emails, no more billing emails, no more webmaster support period. Also a lot less updates, no more updating members area and shooting pics or buying them, however you do it.

So Free sites do sell a lot more then paid, they make a lot more, and they give you a lot more time to make a lot more money~!
