Sigmund Freud was an MD that had published several books. He is the most referenced author in history and his work influenced literature and clinical psychological care for decades.

Freud's work has been shown to be garbage and is illegal to be taught in an accredited university in the first world (outside of historical context).

Being published, referenced, or even educated does not make you immune to being a fool or in the case of Anne Coulter a propagandist.
