I cook at home between 10-21 times a week. (6-7 if just dinner).
As far as costs, it costs a great deal more to eat out than cook. A very typical eatery such as Olive Garden, Apple bees and so on is about 13-17 bucks per entree dinner, not including drinks or appetizers. Hit more on the mid upscale end such as a decent steak house or sea food place and your looking at 30-60 per entree dinner, not including drinks or appetizers. I am also sure it gets a lot more expensive in bigger cities.
