I'm not sure if anyone has pointed out the reason "why" people are upset.
Here's why, it's wrong. Horribly, terribly Wrong!
This is a missing CHILD for gods sake.
The domain owner needs to do the right thing here and immediately set about turning over the website in its entirety to a legitimate representative of this missing childs family.
Anything less is pure shit.
