but here is the signal that's beeing set by the US
We want to go after every person that commits international crimes (war crimes...) but if our own troops happen to commit them we don't want them to face a court.
There are different rules for us cause we are the USA.
I'm sure it's gonna dramatically boost the US popularity in the world
Maybe, and just maybe the US should start to consider that they can't stop terrorism without the help of other countries and that diplomacy is a give and take and not only a take.
The US would have had a hard time with the war in Afghanistant if they russia wouldn't have allowed them to use air bases in usbekistan. Russia supports the US all the way in their war against terror and 2 months later the US cancels the ABM treaty
That's diplomacy.
Maybe it's time for the US to ask themselves why they are so unpopular in the rest of the world?
And could it be that the terror attacks happened because of the US unpopularity?
