What if he does run and he ends up in jail? Imagine the added stress of this on the missing girl's father with reporters banging down his door for comments on the scam when mor eimportant issues are at stake, such as the whereabouts of his missing angel.
Put yourself in his shoes. You're suposed to be a dad, think about it. What if your child was missing and a known scammer was posibly exploiting you and your son for profit?
Would you not want to spare this bullshit from ever being a problem for her father?
Handing over the operation to a reputable company is the right thing to do to avoid this all.
