I am of the opinion that some of these charges, made by some of these people are BS. There are a rash of charges being made by people that claim they were molested 10-15 and more years ago. In the most recent case I have heard of; the guy is now 23 and claims that it was only two months ago that a supressed memory of molestation (age 6-13) suddenly came to him.
I wonder if the fact the media has being tossing around figures that the church may have settled past unpublisized cases for as much as a total of one billion dollars, has something to do with the current rash of charges, and unsupressed memory.

surpressed memories are dangerous things... it's just too easy to have them suggested.. or to mix things up subconsciously.. i'd bet money that repressing memories of such things happens in a very small minority of cases.. now it seems every idiot can go under hypnosis and remember parts of movies instead of their lives..
