Go with Direct TV, why? well I really don't know but I use them and there service is very good. I never been with Dish Network but never really heard anything bad. A buddy down the street showed me his Direct TV with the Sunday ticket and the TiVo system and I was sold on that.
BTW, I think you get more bang for your buck at Direct.
OH, and for the rumors about it going out during the rain BULLSHIT...
