I have a pop-up blocker and for specific tasks I find it very useful. For example when browing some adult sites or approving galleries on a small tgp I run (because I get viruses within pop-ups from sometimes as many as 1 out of ever 3 galleries submitted). I can see these particular individuals utilizing this to force virus installs even more aggressively and I'll have to completely shut down before being able to approve the remainder of galleries submitted.

Getting around this will make the current pop-up blocking software defunct. People who paid for software to stop pop-ups will be pissed.

But maybe we're taking this out of context? Is there anything in mainstream marketing that is comparable to this?
