I have multiple monitors here.... and like a dumbass, they are so close to each other they're almost touching.... got about enough space to slip a piece of paper between them and that's it.... so as soon as I shut the other monitors off, the main one here stopped pulsing at me...

Yep ... that will cause some heavy duty scan lines with some monitors more than 2 years old especially ...
I am running an ATI RADEON 64 MB dual out card also ... I had to separate my two monitors almost to opposite sides of the desk to fully get rid of the scan lines ... my one monitor is brand new viewsonic PRO SERIES 19" ... but the other is a shitty 15" Syncmaster that is about 6 years old, and not shielded worth SHIT !!!
I am planning to get a matching pair of the Viewsonic 19" pro series very soon ... It kicks ass as far as NON LCD displays go ..
