Those are
relative terms, you know.
In "Being John Malkovich", John Cusack played both roles -- his discovery of the portal to Malkovich's brain, arguably "facilitated" the otherwise impossible
sex between his frumpy, submissive wife (Cameron Diaz) and his pushy, androgynous neo-fuck-target from the office (Catherine Keener).
But then, he also masterfully "puppeted" Malkovich himself in that memorable scene, where he made the actor dance and tumble and spin, while the enthralled Keener (not yet aware it was Cusack at the helm) watched from their bed what it looks like when a man collapses into (and acquires focus through) the act of post-coital display.
I think people will
always pay more to have you make a puppet of them than they will to have you show them how to do something for themselves.
I'm a puppet, as you know, and it's worth every penny.
