I think it all depends on the paysite... Some paysites are better for free trials than others...
If the paysite is very great, there is nothing wrong in giving the surfer a 3-5 day trial, then he can see how great the site is, and stay there for ever... But if the paysite is crap, it would be a very bad idea to let him see that before he pays some money...
