Steve, I've sent you a trickle of blog traffic from time to time, from my one mainstream (non-fetish) blog. I have linked directly to your galleries (like a LSU gallery featuring naked twister, one time when I was blogging about that) as well as to the one gallery of yours that I have made from your affiliate content. I think I actually posted a small cropped pic of your affiliate content one time.
Hard to say how well it converted -- I get weird spurts of amazing signups sometimes, but I have so little mainstream traffic (and your stats track so few referrers) that it's very hard to know whether my conversions were from my blog traffic or from the other little trickles I send. The on-again-off-again nature of my revenue from you actually makes me suspect that I've got some sites that are popping in and out of the Google search results, and converting like mad during the rare times the google dance brings them to the surface.
I'm not sure what you are looking for regarding best practices. The one common rule for many affiliate programs that *doesn't* work well for bloggers is the common prohibition against cropping or reducing pictures; most of my blog designs rely on small pictures (320 px wide max) so some cropping and resizing is essential.
You might want to clarify -- are you looking for things your affialiates
shouldn't do, or things they
should do?
And while you are at it, when are you going to get your girls to do a few sweet softcore "sorority spanking" galleries? I could sell the crap out of that.
