Not R&B -- rap. But they're a hip-hop band who plays instruments. If you need a point of reference, they famously backed up Jay-Z when he did his MTV unplugged set. They also did a song with Erykah Badu "You Got Me" and Cody Chesnutt "The Seed". Their most well-known work is "Things Fall Apart". That's the CD that you should check out.
