Added Charge Part Of Adult Film Star's Murder Investigation

PHILADELPHIA -- A woman implicated in a notorious murder was a fugitive for a short time Monday.
Jennifer Mitkus, 30, (left) was missing for several hours before turning herself in to authorities late Monday in Conshohocken, Penn., to face additional charges in the alleged cover up of the killing of Canadian adult film star Natel King (aka Tayor Sumers, right) last March.

"If Jennifer Mitkus had come downstairs and said 'I'm out of here. I don't want any part of this; I'm going to police,' we would have had the victim's body," said Bruce Castor, Montgomery County's district attorney. "She wouldn't have been decomposing in the woods. And her family wouldn't have suffered that trauma. And we'd have solved that case right then."
Photographer Anthony Frederick is charged with the stabbing death of Natal King in what some authorities believe was a dispute over money, or a snuff film gone wrong.
King was allegedly killed during a photo shoot in Conshohocken and dumped in a field in Whitemarsh Township, Penn.
Frederick has now told prosecutors that Mitkus stabbed King's body several times after she was dead, helped clean up the crime scene, and researched how to thwart investigators.
New charges against Mitkus include failure to appear in court, abuse of a corpse, giving false statements and attempted auto theft.
Frederick goes on trial late this month.
Mitkus faces a preliminary hearing February 22 on the additional charges lodged against her. She's being held on $75,000 cash bail.
